Revelation
Revelation is not a scary incomprehensible book, but the inspired vision provided to John by a loving Redeeming God. This five-page note highly encourages study of the Old Testament context enabling a deeper and connected understanding of Revelation. References to the so-called Horses of the Apocalypse are found in Isaiah. If you have browsed to this page directly, please read this prologue before continuing. The prologue is a single page.
The Seven Seals of Revelation and their Menorah-tree Branch Correspondences.
This five page paper will boost your understanding of Old Testament context of Revelation.
The Revelation Tree
Because the Menorah-tree has not been recognized in Isaiah, the 4 – 2 – 1 tree pattern has not been recognized in Revelation. The pattern in Revelation is observed among the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls, (see Hendriksen, More Than Conquerors, page 19; G.K. Beale, The Book of Revelation, specifically the chart on page 128 but p.116 – 128; or Dennis Prutow, The Visions of Revelation, page 124). Although many have observed this pattern, to my knowledge it has not been connected to the the Menorah-tree in Isaiah. The picture on the right (or above) presents just two of the many parallelisms, drawn in the same branch-paired Menorah-tree arrangement as found in Isaiah and elsewhere in the Scriptures. This tree in Isaiah is very significant context for Revelation that appears to have been completely missed. This is a lampstand-tree in the Heavenly Temple. However, make sure you understand the tree pattern in the Old Testament first before joining this investigation of Revelation.
